If you subscribed on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose Pimsleur and tap Cancel Subscription. Do it at least 24 hours before the renewal date, because Apple renews automatically. For a charge you did not intend, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you subscribed on Android
Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Choose Pimsleur and tap Cancel subscription.
If you subscribed on pimsleur.com
Sign in on the website, open your account and find the subscription settings to cancel. If Pimsleur does not appear in your Apple or Google subscriptions, this is where it was bought. Keep the confirmation email, and check your next statement.
Why people struggle
Billing was the top complaint in the 500 most recent App Store reviews we read: 18 of 54 one- and two-star reviews were about price, subscriptions or cancelling, and 7 about reaching support. One reviewer wrote that they tried to cancel for months and stopped the charges by cancelling their card. The usual cause is cancelling in the wrong place, so check all three.

Lessons downloaded for offline use under a subscription stop working when access ends, so do not count on them afterwards. If you only want a break, a monthly plan can be cancelled now and restarted later at whatever the price is then.

Does deleting the Pimsleur app cancel my subscription?
No. Cancel in Apple ID subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions or your pimsleur.com account, depending on where you paid.
Do I keep Pimsleur lessons after cancelling?
Subscription access ends at the end of the paid period. Levels you bought outright stay yours.
